Editor's Choice Award for Best Article in the Fire Technology Journal

Chaired USDA NIFA 5-year multi-state project titled “Protective Clothing for Wildland Firefighters.” This work received the Editor's Choice Award for Best Article in the Fire Technology journal in 2022. Article: "Wildland Firefighting Personal Protective Clothing Cleaning Practices in the United States" by Meredith McQuerry & Elizabeth Easter. Findings given in an invited presentation informed new regulations enacted by the state of California OSHA board.
