Announcement: Dr. Regan Bailey, Chair Elect of The National Academy of Medicine's Interest Group on Nutrition, Diabetes and Obesity

Dr. Regan Bailey was selected by members to be the chair elect of The National Academy of Medicine’s Interest Group on Nutrition, Diabetes, and Obesity.

Founded in 1970 as the Institute of Medicine, the National Academy of Medicine is one of three academies that make up the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine in the United States. The National Academies are private, nonprofit institutions that work outside government to provide objective advice on matters of science, technology, and health.

Interest Groups allow National Academy of Medicine members from different disciplines to convene on pertinent and interdisciplinary subjects. Dr. Bailey will be working with Dr. Shelley McGuire from the University of Idaho in this new role.
